I'm the founder and president of the Alamo Defenders Descendants Association–the only organization comprised solely of Alamo's direct bloodline. We are the families of Esparza, Crockett, Kimble and Jimenez and our mission is simple: Preserve and honor the memory of the men, women and children who died at the Alamo March 6, 1836.

Today, we find ourselves in a new battle at the Alamo.

As I'm sure you're aware the General Land Office in partnership with the City of San Antonio and the private Alamo Endowment—is implementing a "Reimagine the Alamo" plan that dramatically changes the Alamo Plaza. The Alamo bloodline is shocked by one feature of the new plan—the removal of the historic Alamo Cenotaph Memorial from the Plaza. Equivalent to ripping the beating heart from the Alamo!

The Cenotaph was created by Italian-born world renown sculptor Pompeo Coppinni for the 1936 100-year celebration of the Texas Revolution. It is the only memorial to the Alamo defenders on land we consider hallowed ground. We the descendants who number in the thousands nationwide, consider Alamo Plaza our family cemetery and the Cenotaph our family headstone.

Imagine moving such a memorial from the World Trade Center site in New York?

We are turning to our fellow Texans and all who love the Alamo to come to our aid and help prevent the Cenotaph from being moved blocks away from the Alamo and sacred ground.

Amen! Leave the Alamo Cenotaph where it stands. It would be like removing a headstone from where a loved one was laid to rest.

This is beyond insane!

There is no valid reason for this except a hatred for America and Texas' founders.

Treason should not be permitted. Any nation that allows it's founders to be torn down cannot last long. Assimilation is long gone. This is open warfare by an invasion that is seeking to destroy our history, our culture, and way of life.
