 Schooltime Woes

As an elementary school parent I will be asking the school district to address the elementary school driveway because drop off and pick up times are unsafe. Cars wanting to get to the parking lot area or parking area near the flag pole are squeezing between the cars waiting in line and the cars exiting. I have watched over the last part of the school year last year and the first few days of school this year and most of the time the parents parking and walking in to get their child are leaving about the same time I am after I have waited in line. this accomplishes nothing really, except a safety hazard to the people in the cars waiting in line, those exiting and those driving down the middle of the two. Is there really any reason why you need to go inside every morning and every afternoon? I can understand picking up or dropping of a special needs child, but these are parents that appear to just not want to wait. Not only is this is rude! The school staff does a fine job of getting our kids out to the pick up area effeciently and everyone would be safer if we all waited in line, unless you have a legitimate reason for going inside, and then wait in line with the rest of us until you get to the parking lot and can turn in.

My email has been sent to the Prinipal and Superintendent. In the meantime, lets all think about our actions!
