The Jefferson Regional Quilt Alliance and The Jeffersonian Institute welcomes you to the 11thannual Jefferson Quilt Show—“Quilts on the Bayou 2014.”

Enjoy Hoffman’s 2013 Gold Challenge Collection greeting you in the Gallery. Also in the Gallery, we are pleased to have “The Supper Quilt” made by Don Locke, DDS of Waxahachie, Texas. 183” x 67” it was inspired by Leonardo DaVinci’s “The Last Supper”. 51,816 squares of one-half inch cotton fabric were pieced together to make this fantastic quilt. It was machine quilted by Linda Taylor of Melissa, TX.

You will want to visit with Marie Bostwick, author of the Cobble Court Series of books. She only expects to be here on Friday bur will be available to sign books and will speak in room 205 at 1 PM. Marie travels extensively speaking at libraries, bookstores, quilt guilds, and at quilt shows. She has been featured speaker at the Paducah Quilt Show and the Houston International quilt show and was the keynote speaker at Quilt Nebraska. We are very excited to have Marie with us this year.

Entry quilts are exhibited both downstairs and upstairs. While upstairs, you will want to take time to view an exhibit of quilts which are a tribute to Annie Kelsey and the Quilters of the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson.

Plan to attend as many free demonstrations and lectures as possible in the Demonstration/Lecture Room 205 located upstairs. A complete schedule of events can be found on the next page.

Our plan was for Donna Wallace to be our featured teach this year. Her programs have always been very popular at our shows or wherever she has presented them. Sadly, Donna passed away on December30. She will certainly be missed by all of us.

Don’t forget about our vendors. Vendors are located in two locations both downstairs and upstairs. Visit every vendor and become eligible for the drawing for a Basket of Goodies proved by the vendors. The winner will be announced at the end of the show on Sunday afternoon.

CDs with photos of all quilts exhibited this year are available at the Raffle Quilt Table for the purchase of $8 each. While there, be sure to purchase your raffle tickets for “Bonnie Baskets” by Janis Mayfield. The drawing will be at close of show on Sunday.

Be sure to check for that red slip of paper which may be in your program book. If you find one, take it to the Registration Table to collect your door prize.

Before leaving, be sure to vote for your favorite quilt on the ballot given to you when you entered. Voting deadline is Sunday 1:30 PM. The Viewer’s Choice will be announced when the show ends on Sunday afternoon. Other winners are Best of Show, Mayor’s Choice and first, second, and third place ribbons in each category of entries. Categories may be easily recognized by color.
